Subject: One Of The Best Films On This Site
(Full film) Words just cannot do justice to this absolutely gorgeous film. Sure, Adelantes Cubanos is nothing but a glorified inflation of Cuban industry, in SPANISH yet. But, the narration is actually quite exciting to listen to, as the narrarator sure puts a lot of oomph into what he is saying. Plus, oh man, the visuals are spectacular. A lot of shots of industry are seen, but not of the typical ones, aka Cars and other household products, we get to see how Beer is produced, FIle cabinets, Wire! Buns! Playing cards! One of the more amazing molten steel demonstrations, and also LARGE strange looking machines doing god knows what. Other industries are represented in the film as well. Of peculiar interest is the Beauty parlor scene, where this woman has SO much makeup slathered on her I was giggling uncontrollably. 1959 Cuba is gorgeously depicted here, with the film HARDLY showing any color fade at all. Great titles too. Just an amazing film.
